It’s weeks away, but you should start putting aside your “treasures for sale” NOW. 

The date for our CW Neighborhood Yard Sale is Saturday, May 6. This means that your CWCA Board will advertise it beforehand and if you send me your specific address by the end of April, I’ll make sure your address is listed so customers can find you. (You can certainly decide to participate at the last minute, but make sure you have signs that direct the customer traffic to your street/house — especially if you live off the major streets of CW.)

Notes:

*Generally, we say the Yard Sale time is 8 a.m. — 2 p.m. but you can set your hours however you like. (Be prepared…customers will show up early and often ask for specific things, like jewelry.)

*We don’t post a rain date, so you might want to plan to use your garage/carport/tent/awning in case of less-than-ideal weather. 

*This is a great chance for your kids to have a lemonade/baked goods stand in your yard!

It’s time for the Canterbury Woods Holiday Decorating Contest of 2022! Go wild with your seasonal display — celebrate whatever is important to you at this time of year. Let’s bring some light and joy to the neighborhood! You don’t have to do anything to enter, but you WILL need to have your festive trimmings up by Monday, December 19. 
[Judging will occur between December 19 and December 23rd.] 
DO REMEMBER to turn on your lights and inflate those inflatables every evening so the judges can see the full splendor of your efforts. 

December is a festive time where we celebrate in many ways. In CW, we like to encourage residents to dress up the exteriors of their homes so we have a Holiday Decorating Contest with PRIZES for the winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place in various categories). 

     *How do you enter the contest?  Just do your decorating by December 19th. That’s it — all the homes in CW are automatically part of the contest.

    *What are the categories? Best Light Display, Best Wreath(s), Best in Show, Most Creative Display. (Last year we also had Toddler’s Choice…we may do that again.)

    *JUDGES: We’d like to have THREE people to judge. Are you interested? (Obviously, you need to be available after the 19th to work with the other judges on this task.)
