OLD BUSINESS

• CWCA Website revamped (www.cwcivic.org)

o Thank you to Susan for working on this project.

• 2012-2013 Directory published and distributed

o Thanks to Liz and Susan for securing the advertisers and putting out this directory.

• Footbridge from Long Branch Trail to the CWSC

o Inger met with Tony Vellucci, Braddock District Park Rep, two weeks ago about the status of the bridge. The work on the bridge is scheduled to begin in
October and be completed by Spring 2013.

• Neighborhood Watch

o We still need to find a coordinator.

• Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

o Inger will plan the volunteer dinner for January 2013.

• Aging in Place status

o Liz d’Alelio is setting up a database for those who want to volunteer and those who need assistance. She has also been attending meetings with the
Fairfax County Council on Aging. Liz has been working with John Cook’s office on this issue as well.

NEW BUSINESS

• Nero Street/Candace Lane issues

o Issues with parking on these two streets. Teachers and parents are parking over there more because of the school construction. Inger is working with the
school, neighbors, John Cook’s office and the police to solve this issue.

· Footbridge from Rosedale Lane to CWES ( Maintenance and Stormwater Management Division (MSMD)

o The old bridge from the Long Branch park trail (referenced above) will be moved and used to replace the bridge between Rosedale and the school. The work
will begin in Spring 2013.

• Oktoberfest – Saturday/Sunday – date?

o Laurie Coughlin will help order the food again. We are looking at October 14 if we can get the DJ , the inflatables and volunteers in that time period.

• Winter Party – December 7 or 14th at WFES or Frost

o Stephanie Haynos from Red Fox and Teryl Pomeroy are working on the details for this party. When the decision is made, Peter Barnett (Santa) needs to be
called.

• A-Frame Sidewalk Signs

o Inger would like to give these signs to someone to take over.

• Prep for the annual meeting on Wednesday

o We talked about the budget and made some changes to it before the meeting on Wednesday. Kathy gave us an update of where we stand financially. We are in
good financial shape and better than we have been in years past.

OBJECTIVES/GOALS FOR 2011 – 2012

· Expand Yahoo CWCA Listserv to 200 Members (at 145 right now)

• Develop Survey Monkey questionnaire for CWCA
