Yard Sale SUCCESS!

May 5, 2018 at 2:19 pm

At least 18 homes in CW participated today to attract the many yard sale customers who came through our neighborhood in search of treasures at bargain prices. We were all glad that the rain held off and the temps were pleasant. Below are some pictures taken at various sites; recognize anyone?

CW Community Yard Sale: Saturday, May 5, 2018. You price and place your “treasures” outside in your yard, carport, driveway, etc. and we advertise the yard sale.  If you want your specific address advertised, tell Susan (sdimaina@yahoo.com) as soon as possible. If you live off a main street, you should make signs directing customers to your house.

Bulk Goods Trash Collection: Saturday, May 12, 2018.  [for ADS customers only]  You can put three (3) items on the curb for pickup. (Suggestion: do it Friday night!) No electronics or “white goods” (refrigerators, washing machines, etc.). Sofas, box springs, lawn mowers, grills, etc. are acceptable.

ANNUAL MEETING: Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Canterbury Woods Elementary school in the LIBRARY. All residents are encouraged to attend. Hear about neighborhood issues, including the plans for Lake Accotink. Participate in your community!

The CWCA Gazette should be arriving today in your mailbox. Please take time in the next few days to look through it. Among other topics, you can find info on Community Yard Sale Day, Bulk Trash Collection day, and the CWCA Annual Meeting. You can also find out about CW Swim and Tennis Club, the C-Serpents swim team and the 10th Annual Modified Sprint Triathlon.
There’s an envelope enclosed in the newsletter that gives you an efficient way to pay your $30 dues to CWCA. These nominal dues really do make a difference in the quality of our community, so please write a check (made out to CWCA) or enclose cash and get that envelope to 5001 Chanticleer Avenue. If you’d prefer to use PayPal ($31.17), you can do that right here!
Warm spring greetings to you all from the CWCA.
